They also show how you can use SDM in your life, with family members, or people you support, including in programs like Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Person Centered Planning.

New trends in the design of restaurants and bars pose challenging questions on the best way to achieve access so that they are inclusive of everyone. This session will review requirements in the ADA and ABA Accessibility Standards for restaurants, cafeterias, and bars and address common sources of confusion. Presenters will cover accessible seating at tables, counters, and bars, dispersion, raised and sunken dining areas, mezzanines, food service lines, and other requirements at different types of dining and drinking establishments.

The Air Carrier Access Act of 1986 (ACAA) prohibits
discrimination based on disability in air travel and requires air carriers to
accommodate the needs of passengers with disabilities. Join us as our speaker
from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) discusses the final statement
of enforcement priorities for service animals under the ACAA. The session will
also address the role the Aviation Enforcement and Proceedings has in enforcing
the ACAA. Following the presentation participants will have an opportunity to
ask the presenter questions about the ACAA requirements.

FEMA is engaged in implementing its
Section 504 Disability Access Plan to enhance access for people with
disabilities and strengthen compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation
Act. FEMA's Office of Equal Rights is leading this effort and will provide an
overview of the 504 Plan and the five focus areas: Public Information, training
and exercises, publishing the rights of people with disabilities, disaster
recovery programs, and facilities. FEMA's Office of Equal Rights seeks to build
disability-related capacity within FEMA through the 504 Plan. This webinar will
provide an overview of FEMA's 504 Disability Access Plan and strategies the
Agency is employing to address the need for enhanced access for people with
disabilities in the five focus areas.

Learn how one City, in conjunction with community partners, was able to develop viable training tools, policies, and ultimately relationships over the course of two years. This webinar will present a case study of how the City of Fresno built a partnership between the police department and the community of people with I/DD.
